Karen Reynolds is a retired Army Master Sergeant with 21 years of distinguished service. After her military career, she returned to Clarksville, Tennessee, to raise her sons and become deeply involved in her community. Married to Billy Burgett and a mother of three, with one son serving in the U.S. Navy, Karen holds a Master of Arts in Adult Education from East Carolina University. Her professional background includes roles as a Veteran Service Representative and a Project Manager in Healthcare Informatics at Blanchfield Army Hospital. Karen’s dedication to service and community is evident through her active participation and leadership in Clarksville-Montgomery County.


Currently, Karen represents Ward 9 on the Clarksville City Council, where she emphasizes open communication and community engagement. She keeps residents informed through monthly newsletters and town halls, ensuring their voices are heard in local government decisions. As the chair of the Montgomery County Health Council and a member of various committees such as the Women’s Shelter, the Tree Board, and the Transportation Committee, Karen is committed to transparent and inclusive governance.





Karen's vision for Tennessee is rooted in equity and equality. She advocates for affordable housing, improved infrastructure, and reproductive freedom. Her focus includes fighting for well-funded schools, reducing classroom sizes, and addressing gun violence to ensure the safety of children. She also champions green energy infrastructure and enhanced mass transit solutions to build a more sustainable and accessible community.


In her run for Tennessee State Senate District 22, Karen Reynolds promises to maintain her dedication to open communication and thorough research on issues. She aims to work across party lines while standing firm against extremism. Her experiences as a combat veteran and community activist prepare her to advocate for policies that put people first, striving for a more inclusive and prosperous future for Tennessee.
